UNIVERSITY LIBRARIAN, OTHERS WANTED IN A NIGERIAN UNIVERSITY

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for the following position in Modibbo Adama University of Technology, Yola. (Formerly, Federal University of Technology, Yola) Adamawa State.
JOB TITLE: UNIVERSITY LIBRARIAN
LOCATION: Adamawa
JOB PROFILE
The University Librarian, a Principal Officer, is responsible to the Vice Chancellor for the administration of the University Library and the coordination of the Library services in the University.
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE
Candidates for the post of University Librarian must have a good second class Honours degree, Masters’ degree and Ph.D degrees in relevant field from recognised institution(s), professional qualifications, academic excellence, quality publications and teaching and credible community services.
In addition, he/she should be computer literate and show evidence of considerable scholarship and understanding of the application of new technologies to library operations and services.
The person must have had at least fifteen (15) years post-qualifications experience in a reputable University Library, comparable institution or research institution.
He/she must be a person with leadership qualities, high integrity and unquestionable character and an outstanding manager of men and resources
JOB TITLE: REGISTRAR
LOCATION: Yola
JOB PROFILE
The registrar is the Chief Administrative Officer of the University responsible to the Vice-Chancellor for the day-to-day administration of the University. By virtue of the office, the Registrar is the Secretary to the council and Senate as well as other Administrative Committees, to guide on rules, regulations and University procedures. The registrar is, therefore, expected to give positive leadership in the Administration of the University.
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE
A Deputy Registrar (DR), Principal Assistant Registrar (PAR) and/or equivalent are eligible to apply
A Deputy Registrar MUST possess a minimum of good second class honours Degree from a recognized Institution. Possession of Higher qualification will be an added advantage
A principal Assistant Registrar and equivalent MUST possess a Second Class Honours and masters’ degree from recognised institution (s)
Candidates must have had at least fifteen (15) years post qualification experience; ten MUST have been in University administration or similar position in a tertiary educational establishment
Candidates must be of sound physical and mental health.
The candidate must be information and communication technology (ICT) proficient.
SALARIES AND CONDITIONS OF SERVICE
The salary is approved for Registrars, University Librarians and the director of works in Federal Universities. The duration of the appointments are specified in the University Law as amended.
